About this Event
We often think of self-portraits as pictures of ourselves, but the artists in Self-Made: A Century of Inventing Artists show us that there are many other ways to show who we are. Participants will explore the galleries together and then create "patchwork portraits," inspired by exhibiting artist Nicole Appel's work.
Families and Folk Art introduces children ages 4 to 12 and their accompanying adults to folk art through interactive tours in the galleries followed by hands-on artmaking activities inspired by objects in the museum.
This program is free, but space is limited. To register, please contact 212. 265. 1040, ext. 381, or [email protected] and indicate if your family requires any accommodations.
