A week-long musical workshop with Act II Theatre Company, finishing with a performance in the auditorium on the BIG STAGE!It's time to get your leg warmers on and tell everyone to remember your name... it's FAME!
This summer the high energy antics of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts hits the South Holland Centre in Fame Jr. This touching coming-of-age story follows the lives of a diverse group of students as they commit to their artistic and academic studies in their pursuit of fame. Set in the 1980's but featuring a contemporary pop score (which of course includes the title song), this story explores the issues that confront many young people today with humour and insight.
Over the course of a week, participants will rehearse a production of Fame Jr to be performed in the auditorium at the end of the week.
