Fall Run is our largest off-road event of the year. It takes place on the third Saturday of October at Hot Springs Off-Road Park every single year! It’s a one-day event that consists of off-roading, making memories with friends, complimentary dinner, and top-notch raffle prizes. If this is your first-time attending Fall Run, you’ll need to plan to be at Hot Springs Off-Road Park by about 8am on Saturday, October 18th. This will give you time to check in at the park office, sign the required waiver, and pay any park fees.
The mandatory drivers’ meeting begins at 9am. This is located at the pavilion, and it takes about thirty minutes. This meeting is important because announcements/reminders are given, a safety demonstration is reviewed, and this is where we split up into our individual trail groups.
Next, you’ll spend the day on the trails with your chosen trail group. Your trail leader will reach out to you touch base about his/her plans for the day. You will likely need to pack a cooler with lunch and plenty to drink because most groups choose to take a break halfway through the day and eat lunch on the trail.
After 5pm, we shift gears, and everyone gathers at the pavilion where members and their families receive a complimentary dinner as well as a golden ticket for the evening’s raffle. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased if you wish to bring extra cash to participate. Past years raffle prizes have been wheels, tires, stereo systems, winches, lift kits, gear upgrades, driveshafts, body armor, air compressors, front/rear bumpers, gift certificates, etc.
The evening’s events usually wrap up around 9pm. Some choose to gather around a campsite or cabin bonfire to talk about the day, while others choose to head back to their room or head home if they are not planning to stay the night in Hot Springs.
The official event is only one day. However, may people choose to make a long weekend of it. Some will head to Hot Springs as early as Thursday and many return home on Sunday. This allows time to check out the city of Hot Springs, Arkansas or even sneak in an extra day of wheeling. Just remember to never wheel alone! There are always groups that you can link up with if you choose to hit the trails on another day.
Hot Springs Off-Road Park offers everything from primitive tent camping, to RV sites, even bunkhouses and cabins for rent. You or your partner a bit higher maintenance? No problem! Many members opt to stay in a hotel or Air B&B instead of on site at the park. The city of Hot Springs has a ton of accommodations available ranging from budget friendly motels to high-end hotels.
This is the perfect opportunity to spend time together as a family. Children usually love the outdoors and truly have a great time at these events. Bring Fido too; just make sure that your accommodations are pet friendly and you have the necessary supplies to care for them appropriately spending a day on the trails.
We can’t wait to see you on the trails!
