The fall meeting of the Illinois Section will be held jointly with the Wisconsin section. We have a fantastic lineup of plenaries! On Friday night at 7pm in the Maddox Theatre the public lecture will be co-sponsored with the Rockford University FORUM series. The keynote is Dr. Renee Horton, NASA engineer. The full meeting will include a workshop led by Dr. Horton for educators as well as plenaries by Dr. Becky Thompson, director of education programming at the St. Louis Science Center. and author of the book, Fire Ice and Physics - The Science of the Game of Thrones and Auburn Alumna Dr. Britt Lundgren, professor of physics and astronomy at UNC Asheville as well as the Co-Chair for Education and Public Outreach for the fourth generation of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.
