Come get Lit(erate) at “Fall Into Literacy: A Fun-Filled Family Event Celebrating Multiple Literacies”! Join us at the Hirsch Recreation Complex for a day of learning and fun for parents and pre-K-Grade 12 students. Discover the joy of multiple literacies, with experts on reading and writing as well as financial, mental health, and anti-violence literacy skills.

Enjoy food and bevarages, live DJ music, interactive activities and giveaways of books, school supplies and swag, courtesy of the Black Empowerment Works Collaborative and our many vendors. From a spoken word and 3 on 3 basketball contests for teens, to a parent empowerment panel and a bouncy house for kids, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
