What You’ll Learn:

The basics of candle making.
How to melt, pour, and scent soy wax.
Techniques for wicking a candle and creating wax tarts.

Supplies You’ll Need:
To participate, please have the following supplies ready before the class:

(1) 8.5 oz candle vessel with a lid
(1) wax tart mold
Wooden wicks with clips (1 for candle)
Soy wax (1 lb. recommended)
Wick tabs (2)
Thermometer
Fragrance oil (1–2 oz of your favorite scent)
Measuring cups
Labels (2)
Beaker (or heat-safe measuring cup for melting wax)
Popsicle sticks (2, for stirring and centering the wick)
Access to a microwave or double boiler
