Fall Foraging ForayBefore there were grocery stores conveniently located in communities, people had to find natural sources of food by using the plants found in nature. Fall is a great time of year to harvest some of the most useful and delicious plants, including acorns. Join our Ray Harral naturalist on a walk to look for these and other edible plants of the forest. We will share tips, tricks and the history of collecting and using these plants.
The purpose of this event is to educate the community and enjoy the outdoors together, not forage.
Date: Monday Nov 24th – Wednesday Nov 26th.
Time: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Location: Ray Harral Nature Center
No cost to participate. Registration required.
