Join us at h2hotel for a hands-on leaf printing workshop where you'll explore the art of natural textile printing. Experience fall foliage in a whole new way with our November event in Healdsburg: an immersive, hands-on leaf printing workshop to capture the beauty of the season and wear it home.Led by natural dyer and educator Lisa Rogers of Slow Digz, this four-hour session explores the botanical eco-art of leaf printing—a process that uses steam, natural tannins, and iron to transfer leaf pigments directly onto silk. Together, we’ll celebrate the changing season by crafting a one-of-a-kind piece using fall foliage gathered from Sonoma County. Think eucalyptus, oak, redwood, smokebush, maple, dogwood and chestnut leaves–whatever is falling that week. You’ll create your own botanical design on a pre-mordanted 11x60-inch silk textile, which can be used as a scarf, runner, or wall hanging. You’ll also enjoy light bites, a glass of local wine, or a seasonal mocktail while connecting with fellow nature lovers.
