Join us this fall for a Dressage Clinic with Canadian Olympic Dressage Medalist and Certified Coach, Gina Smith! The clinic will be hosted at Huntleigh Equestrian Centre in Carp.
This clinic is Amateur and Junior friendly, with a focus on developing the Dressage horse through the levels. Riders from Introductory to Third Level are welcome, and can expect a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for their horses. Auditors are also welcome.
COACHES: This clinic is eligible for points towards your Equestrian Canada Équestre NCCP Coach Eligible Professional Development Activities. Please complete the Coaching Program Professional Development Report Form on our website (https://ottawadressage.ca/clinics/#gina) - and don’t forget to bring it to the clinic for Gina to sign!
𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
R̲i̲d̲e̲r̲s̲
The OADG welcomes members and non-members to participate in the clinic. There will be 16 riding slots available in total. In the event that there is more interest than riding spots available, OADG members will be prioritized over non-members for participation. Additionally, in order to provide an educational experience for those auditing we will also prioritize having riders across the levels for each of the days. We will indicate when we have reached capacity for riding spots (but may offer a waitlist), so encourage you to register soon.
Please note that proof of vaccination and Coggins is required for participating horses (see details in registration form).
Limited stabling is available on a first-come, first-serve basis for an extra fee (see below).
A̲u̲d̲i̲t̲o̲r̲s̲
Registration to audit one or both days of the clinic is due by October 20, 2025. This is to ensure we can plan and provide lunch for all attendees. The number of auditor spots is not limited at this time.
Note that registration is not considered finalized until payment via etransfer is received (see details in registration form).

Limited stabling will be available for an additional fee. Shavings are also available for an extra cost. Please select this option in the registration form if you would like stabling, but note that not all requests may be accommodated. Stalls will be provided on a first come, first serve basis and you will contacted for further arrangements.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗵:
Gina Smith is one of Canada’s most accomplished Dressage riders. She won a team bronze medal at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul and competed for Canada in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Gina also rode on Canada’s Gold medal-winning Dressage team at the 1992 Pan American Games.
Beyond her accomplishments in the show ring, Gina is an exceptional clinician who has won several awards for coaching, including the German Bereiter Award. She is also a High Performance 1 licensed coach.
Gina is based in Brockville at Franklands Farm, where she operates her equine business.
