About this Event
Faith, Hope & Charity Law
Legal Duties | Thorny Topics | Sticky Issues | An expert panel of Christian lawyers

for Church leaders and trustees

The voluntary work of trustees is invaluable, but the law is complex and the consequences of getting it wrong can be huge. It's hardly surprising that the Charity Commission recommends that Charity trustees have regular training, but it can be hard to find training that is convenient and which answers the topics and issues you face.
The Lawyers' Christian Fellowship is committed to mobilising legal talents to serve the wider church. On the 22nd November they invite you to a special evening at Redeemer Church Nottingham for Church leaders and trustees when an expert panel of specialist lawyers will provide the answers you need to know, about running a charity, managing staff (employees, office holders, and volunteers), and complying with data protection law.
Our panel will be made up of experienced solicitors from three highly regarded Christian law firms: Edward Connor Solicitors – Christ-centred legal expertise, Ellis-Fermor & Negus Solicitors | Your local East Midlands Solicitors, and Solicitors In Warrington - Fiona Bruce Solicitors. Following a short introductory talk they will answer your questions. To ensure that we address the issues you face, when registering for the event please use the space provided to ask the question that you would like to be answered.
Following the Questions & Answers session light refreshments will be provided so that you can connect and catch up with local church leaders, and so that you can meet and ask questions of the law firms represented.
Light refreshments will be provided on arrival. This is a free ticketed event, with a donation ticket option if you would like to support the work of the Lawyers' Christian Fellowship.
We'd be grateful if you would with lawyers in your churches, who are warmly invited to attend the LCF "Leadership for Lawyers" day conference at Beeston Free church in Nottingham on the 23rd November 2024.
