What to Have Ready for Your FAFSA: To make completing your FAFSA quick and stress-free, have access to the following information before you begin:
1. 2024 federal tax returns*
2. Record of child support received in the last calendar year
3. Current balances of cash, savings, and checking accounts
4. Net worth information for investments, businesses, and farms
* You’ll be able to give consent to securely import most of your financial information directly from the IRS—but it’s still helpful to keep your tax returns nearby in case additional questions come up.
