Faerie Barter Market | Mystic & Magic Edition
Advertisement
You asked and we answered, the witchy, magical and mystical themed market is now BEFORE spooky season!
Whatever happened to bartering?! The Fae still do it all the time!
Come one, come all to the Fairy Barter Market, a magical event where you can trade old trinkets for new treasures! It's a potluck of arts and crafts, so bring anything that no longer serves you so that someone else can enjoy it!
Bring your art, handmade wares, thrifted trinkets, antiques, decor items, craft supplies and more to trade with each other and vendors at the market. This is a time to celebrate each other's creativity with the art of trade (the only vendor is the Faerie Barter Market support table!).
This is a completely free event with no money exchange among the vendors, but the business will be open for you to enjoy!
๐Ÿ„Barter Market Rules๐Ÿ„
Bartering is the main focus so bring things you're comfortable trading away, try not to bring more than what fills a (4"x6") table (you may have to split a 6ft table this time around), vendors should tell all their friends to come by and bring something to trade too!
How much should I bring?
About a basket/milk crate worth of stuff is generally enough.
๐Ÿ„What should I bring to this Theme Market?๐Ÿ„
For the Mystic & Magic themed market we encourage you to bring witch themed, pagan items, altar tools, crystals, tarot decks and bags, divination items, magical art, unused candles, candle holders, vintage items that can be used in magical workings, incense and herbs, unique jars, occult items, witchy books, magical home decor, Halloween items, metaphysical supplies, cottage core items, spooky art or trinkets.
Please do not bring...
- Baked goods or prepared food items for trade.
- Things that should probably go in the trash.
- Extremely used items (ie candles with limited life left, etc)
๐Ÿ„Do I have to trade?๐Ÿ„
If someone is offering you something that you do not value the same as the item they would like from you, YOU CAN SAY NO! Be reasonable when you offer someone a trade, a bucket of plastic toys does not hold the same value as a crocheted hat. Use you best judgement when trading and if you aren't sure what to trade, ask the other person if they are interested in anything that you have.
๐Ÿ„How can I reserve a space?๐Ÿ„
Space is usually limited, so email us at [email protected] if you're interested. You should be comfortable with trading all the items you bring! If we have limited reservations and there are left over tables, you are free to claim a space!
๐Ÿ„Do I need to have a spot to trade?๐Ÿ„
No, you can come with your own things and setup when others leave a table or walk around with your items to trade with everyone there! If you e-mailed Mycelia early to reserve a table space, please check in with her when you arrive.
There will be a couple of free 6ft tables open to split on a first come first serve basis for sitting and trading. Seating and table space is limited, please bring your own chair/table if possible. We will be expanding further into the halls from the beginning this time to help alleviate some foot traffic.
