Fade to Black: Evolution
Five years ago, a vision was born. This June, we celebrate how far we've come.
What started as a bold idea to celebrate Black creativity, culture, and community has grown into one of Edmonton's most anticipated fashion events. Fade to Black returns to Londonderry Mall for its 5th anniversary, and we're going bigger, bolder, and more powerful than ever.
EVOLUTION is more than a theme, it reflects the journey.
Over the past five years, we’ve been growing a platform that celebrates BIPOC designers, models, stores, creatives, and small buisnesses here in Edmonton. Each year has brought new growth, new energy, and continued support from the community.
This year, we take a moment to honour that journey on the runway!

💛 GIVING BACK — BIPOC HEALING AND WELLNESS CENTRE
A portion of proceeds from this year's event will be donated to the BIPOC Healing and Wellness Centre right here in Edmonton — and we couldn't be more proud to support them.
- A dedicated space where racialized people can heal, feel seen, and be their authentic selves
- Offers inclusive, accessible, and culturally-informed care tailored to the unique lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour
- Services include mental health counselling, trauma therapy, grief therapy, somatic therapy, and community initiatives
- Rooted in values of anti-racism, equity, empowerment, and belonging
- Ensuring our community has access to care that truly honours who we are
At Fade to Black, we've always believed that celebrating our community means taking care of it too. Supporting the BIPOC Healing and Wellness Centre is an extension of everything this event stands for.
