Auburn Birthing and Parenting Workshop
Join us for the Auburn Birthing and Parenting Workshop, a three-week series (hybrid face to face and online) to support future parents as they prepare for the incredible journey of parenthood. Face to face workshop will include a tour of the Birth Unit. Please book one ticket per couple only.
Workshop Details (Fridays 2 - 3:30pm):
- Week 1: 1 May
- Week 2: 8 May
- Week 3: 15 May
- Where: Auburn Hospital, Level 5 Rooms 1-2
- If you are unable to attend face to face there will be a Microsoft Teams link sent 2 days before to be able to watch virtually.
- Duration: 1.5 hours per session
These interactive workshops provide a welcoming space for parents-to-be to learn, share, and ask questions about key topics, including:
- Baby positions
- When to call the Birth Unit
- Daily actions for a safer pregnancy
- Signs of labour starting
- Natural and medical options for pain relief
- Being a support person
- Tour of Birth Unit
- What to expect after having a baby
- How can I know my baby is getting enough milk?
- How to hand express milk
- Where to find more information and support
Each session is led by experienced facilitators and offers opportunities for discussion, ensuring you leave feeling informed and confident about your parenting journey.
PLEASE NOTE:
You must be birthing your baby at Auburn Hospital to book into the workshop.
These sessions are covered by Medicare. If you are not covered by Medicare, it will cost $176 per class, or $528 total. Please email [email protected] for further information.
