Watercolor Weekday Series with Phyllis Gubins
Learn beginning and advanced watercolor techniques from an experienced instructor. You'll leave each class with a finished project. Appropriate for beginners and experienced watercolorists.
Water In All of Its Beauty
Wednesdays April 2ndth - April 23rd 12pm - 3pm
$49 each or $64 with supplies
Beginning with a delicate Matilija Poppy, next Succulent slices of Citrus, then a grouping of Sunflowers and ending with a California Avocado in all it's glory for us to paint.
Sketches will be provided, so no drawing skills are required and these classes are for every level of painter, from absolute beginner to advanced. A variety of different techniques will be taught in each class
Week 1: Wednesday April 2nd 12PM-3-PM
Delicate Ojai Matilija Poppy: Painting shadows to create white is so easy once you understand the technique. You will paint a beautiful close-up of a soft petaled Matilija poppy flower.
Week 2: Wednesday April 9th 12PM-3PM
Succulent Slices of a Variety of Citrus: You can choose slices of a blood orange, a lime or a lemon or you can even add all 3 in your painting if you choose. You will learn how to make them realistic.
Week 3: Wednesday April 16th 12PM-3PM
Spectacular Sunflowers: In their majestic pose you will love these images & your finished art will be vibrant with intense hues that can add a burst of color to any home.
Week 4: Wednesday April 23rd 12PM-3PM
California Avocado or California Peppers: Our local Avocados and Peppers are fun to depict in our artwork . They have texture in their skin, delicate smoothness in the interior pulp, a shine in their seeds and they are a joy to paint.
Please arrive 5 minutes early, class will start on time. All class reservations must be paid in advance and cannot be cancelled or changed less than 72 hours prior to class. Sorry, no exceptions.
