Whether you’re a sewist, knitter, mender, designer, student or curious beginner, this is your chance to get inspired and grab a bargain.
🧵 The Fabric Sale
Discover a carefully curated selection of rescued and surplus textiles, saved from landfill and ready for new life. Expect:
- End-of-roll and surplus fabrics
- Upholstery and interior samples
- Yarn, thread and haberdashery
- One-off, unusual and tactile finds
Prices are kept low, accessible and local maker-friendly, so you can experiment, play and create without pressure.
🔁 The Stash Swap
Got sewing supplies you’re no longer using? Bring them along and swap for something new-to-you.
Please only bring clean, good-quality items that others would be excited to use. Label fabric with fibre content and length if you can.
You’re welcome to bring:
- Fabric lengths, remnants and offcuts
- Yarn, thread and haberdashery
- Sewing machines (in working condition only)
- Sewing patterns and tools
How it works:
Place your items on the relevant tables when you arrive, browse freely, and take what inspires you. No tokens, no strict limits — just be mindful and take what you’ll genuinely use.

The Fabric Folk is a Hertfordshire-based non-profit working to keep textiles out of landfill through reuse, repair and creative skill-sharing. Every fabric saved is a small but powerful act toward a more circular future.
