Fabric Collage Workshop with Nala & Vicky

Join us for a creative, hands-on evening of fabric collage at Shop Mira Flores! In this workshop, you’ll design your very own wall art piece (or table place mat!) on a vintage vinyl record using our wide selection of fabric scraps, magazines, and fun art supplies.

About your hosts:

Nala (they/them) is the shop manager at Shop Mira Flores and loves creating spaces for folks to slow down, play, and explore their creativity. Their workshops are all about having fun with materials, building community, and leaving with something that feels personal and unique. Outside of the shop, Nala is a multi-disciplinary creative: a model, stylist, and creative director who’s passionate about making art accessible and community-centered. Their work is rooted in joy, inclusion, and the power of collective imagination.

Victoria (she/they) is a stylist and sales associate at Shop Mira Flores, as well as a UC Berkeley student currently on leave to attend nail school. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting with her mom, reading tarot, baking and cooking, and—most of all—advocating for underserved and underfunded communities through her passion for public health. While their previous workshops have primarily focused on educating BIPOC communities about accessing resources, this one will explore creative ways to conserve and repurpose materials into a beautiful new art piece. Victoria is excited to share how she incorporates art into her journey of conservation and sustainability.

For an extra personal touch, feel free to bring your own photos or mementos to add to your collage. Come solo or bring a friend - it’s the perfect midweek reset filled with art, community, and good vibes!
