About this Event

About the event

AI is moving fast in healthcare, from triaging patients to accelerating drug discovery, but the trust it needs to thrive isn’t built in a lab. It’s built in how we design it, govern it, and put it into the hands of real people.

This in-person event brings together voices from across law, pharma, life sciences, and the NHS to tackle some of the most urgent and practical questions around ethical AI in healthcare. How do we build systems that doctors want to use and can trust? What happens when an AI tool gets it wrong and who could be responsible? And how do we ensure patients aren’t left out of the conversation when their data is powering these tools?

Whether you’re an NHS clinician navigating AI adoption, a lawyer wrestling with evolving regulation, or a data scientist building models with real-world impact, this is a conversation we must have together.

Join this session to:
  • Discuss clinical accountability in the age of algorithms: why we must keep a human in the loop from the very beginning of R&D
  • Understand real explainability: what do clinicians need to know to trust an AI tool?
  • Learn about bias, fairness, and data integrity: how do we stop health inequalities from being hard-coded into our systems?
  • Debate regulation without red tape: how legal and compliance teams can create space for innovation and safety
  • Learn about patient consent and trust: what does consent look like when models are trained on personal health data?

This will be an event focused on honest conversation and cross-sector learning, with case studies, panel debates, and time to connect with others navigating the same challenges.
