In celebration of 𝐅ê𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, Alliance Française de Dhaka, in collaboration with cultural and artistic partners, presents a dynamic week-long programme dedicated to the universal language of music. Bringing together electronic experimentation, percussion traditions, and intercultural collaboration, the festival offers audiences a unique opportunity to explore diverse musical expressions through workshops and live performances.
The programme begins with an Electronic Music Workshop led by internationally acclaimed musician and percussionist 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐡𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 on 𝟏𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at 𝟕:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌 at 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 — 𝐀 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳 𝐂𝐚𝐟é, Banani. Open to musicians of all backgrounds, the workshop will explore rhythm programming, sound design, improvisation, and innovative approaches to contemporary music-making.

On 𝟏𝟏 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, Alliance Française de Dhaka will host 𝐁𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐀 𝐚𝐮 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭: A Bossa Nova Experience at Sunset. As the evening sky turns golden, audiences are invited to immerse themselves in the smooth rhythms and timeless melodies of Bossa Nova through a unique musical encounter featuring artists from Brazil, Finland, and Bangladesh.

Later that evening, at 𝟕:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌, audiences are invited to experience 𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂 at 𝐆𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡, Dhanmondi. In this groundbreaking performance, 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐡𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 fuses tabla, percussion, and electronic programming to create an immersive sonic journey where tradition and technology meet.

This powerful percussion performance brings together Brazilian artist Á𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐚 and Bangladeshi musician 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐫𝐚 in a vibrant intercultural collaboration that highlights the shared rhythmic heritage of Bangladesh and Brazil.
