Join us for a special takeover at The Bird as twentyfourevan [Haze Belfast] and Matcha [IE] make their Australian debut, bringing the cutting-edge sounds of Belfast’s underground scene to Perth.
twentyfourevan is a DJ and promoter at the heart of Belfast’s club culture, known for his genre-bending, high-energy sets that blend everything from electro to twisted house and leftfield techno. With six years of experience behind the decks, he’s played for some of Belfast’s most respected crews, including Plain Sailing, Danse Intermission, and Industry, and made waves with a standout set at AVA Festival. As the founder of Haze Belfast, Evan has helped shape the city’s dance scene, curating nights with guests like LB aka LABAT, Chloé Robinson, and LUXE, while his new Floorspace series is reviving the raw energy of French Touch and Electroclash. Expect a set packed with weird, wacky, and wonderfully distorted club sounds.
Matcha is one of the most exciting new names in Belfast’s DJ circuit, quickly rising through the ranks with her distinct, high-energy style. Since her debut last year, she has become a regular fixture in the city’s club scene, headlining a sold-out Ponyhawke party and playing for some of Belfast’s most established promoters, including Plain Sailing, Haze, and Danse Intermission. Drawing inspiration from Peach, Aldonna, and Angel d’lite, Matcha fuses prog techno, spaced-out house, and deep Italo to create a sound she describes as "alien and critter coded"—playful, unpredictable, and built for the dancefloor.
