🧠 Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) LEVEL II 2DAY TRAINING WORKSHOP – ADVANCED TRAUMA INTERVENTION**Attendees must have completed the EMDR Level 1**
The GCCT T&T invites mental health professionals who have completed our *EMDR LEVEL 1* training to deepen their clinical competence in EMDR.
What is it?
EMDR is a psychotherapeutic approach grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, which conceptualises trauma as unprocessed maladaptively stored experiences which create psychological distress.
EMDR enables clients to revisit distressing memories in a controlled, structured manner using:
- Bilateral stimulation
-Dual attention processes
- Systematic desensitization
Traumatic memories can be reprocessed and integrated, reducing distress and emotional reactivity while preserving adaptive insight.
🔍 What You Will Learn
EMDR Level II training advances beyond foundational skills taught in our Level 1 Training to focus on complex clinical applications:
- Application of EMDR to complex trauma (Type II trauma)
- Advanced case conceptualization and treatment planning
- Use of cognitive interweaves to resolve blocked processing
- Managing dissociation, anxiety, and reprocessing difficulties
- Application of Resource Development & Installation (RDI)
- Advanced protocols, including:
- Flash Technique
- Future Template Installation
- Structured use of the Eight-Phase EMDR Protocol
- Practicum-based learning with supervised application
