Extreme Heat & Resilience Community Workshop

Join us at the Miles Memorial Playhouse on April 21, 2026 at 5:30 PM (PT) for a workshop all about dealing with extreme heat and building community resilience. It’s a great chance to learn, share ideas, and connect with fellow community members who care about making Santa Monica cool and safe. The Office of Sustainability and the Environment will be using your input to inform a future Extreme Heat & Resilience Action Plan. Watch presentations from city staff, join round-table discussions, eat complimentary food, participate in engagement activities, and compete in a raffle for heat-related prizes. Bring your questions and your ideas to help us envision a heat-resilient Santa Monica!

Limited metered parking is available around Reed Park. We recommend biking or taking public transportation if possible. The Miles Playhouse is located on Lincoln Blvd on the north side of Reed Park and is served by several Big Blue Bus lines, including the #2 and #18. Plan your route here.
