This clinic will be based on Extreme Cowboy Challenge, which is an event with obstacles that is timed and judged, but will be beneficial to anyone wanting to build trust and confidence with their horse whether or not they want to compete. Hosted at the beautiful Star Valley Ranch in Kamloops BC and presented by clinician Trevor Mertes from Horses that Work you will spend two days going at your pace to better your skills and learn all about what is involved to make a good Cowboy Challenge partnership with your horse. Depending on registrants we hope to have a beginner group and an advanced group. If you are brand new to obstacles and are learning the basics on how to have a willing horse go over them you would be considered beginner . If you are ready to add speed and increase difficulty of obstacles you would be advanced or level 2. Please note that this is a YOUTH FRIENDLY event and there is a youth category at the races! There will be a morning and afternoon group and you are welcome to audit opposing groups. On the Sunday following the clinic there will be a race held that is in conjunction with a buckle series. The race will be open to the public. For more info on the race day you can go to Horses that Work on FB or www.horsesthatwork.caThe clinic will be $425 + tax per person with a deposit of $200 at time of registration and remaining funds due the beginning of March.
Pens available as well as dry camping.
Please pm with questions and info on how to get registered!
