Grandly Strange Puppet Theatre is proud to present a bonkers adaptation of the classic folktale, filled with playful puppet characters, clowning and magical surprises!! It’s ideal for children aged 3 - 7 (and people with size 11 shoes too!)
Mr Shooz is on his uppers. Nobody wants to buy his footwear anymore! Then something magical starts to happen! Someone, or something is making completely amazing shoes in the middle of the night and leaving them on his workbench every morning. Who are the midnight cobblers and how can he say thank you in return???
It's 45 mins long and you can meet the puppets afterwards.

About the show:
Our adaptation of the elves and the Shoemaker is a storytelling puppet show. The performer will play the main character - Mr Shooz - as well as narrating the tale. The performer will also be visible whilst puppeteering the elves. The show will use adult volunteers from the audience to play shoe-buying customers. It’s a gently silly show that has elements of ‘clown’, magic and automata too. We love vocal suggestions from the audience. We are very happy for the audience to be chatty. Babies can cry, dogs can bark (hamsters can nibble) it’s all part of the fun. There are lights used in the show but it won’t ever be really dark
