About this Event
On March 13th, Johanne Ascoli and Hassti Hamidi will co-create a gentle, guided space where art and movement meet. Through conscious movement, creative exploration, and embodied listening, participants are invited to express what lives within, without judgment, expectation, or the need to perform. This evening honours your unique inner landscape and invites expression to emerge naturally, in its own rhythm.
This gathering marks the first event in the Expressive Arts and Conscious Movement series and is a special extended experience lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes. Johanne and Hassti will each guide a movement wave, supporting participants in loosening the body, mind, and soul through shaking, sweating, and deepening connection with self and others. Alongside movement, participants will be invited to explore their creativity and artistic expression in an intuitive, embodied way.
No prior experience in movement or art is needed, just a willingness to listen, move, and express.
Meet Johanne Ascoli
Johanne Ascoli is a French Canadian soulcentric expressive arts therapist and dance journey facilitator who tends the thresholds where body, soul, imagination and play meet.
Rooted in trauma-informed, somatic, and earth-honouring practices, she opens creative portals for healing and remembrance, inviting people back into right relationship with their inner worlds, with one another, and with the living web of Life.
Her work weaves expressive arts, polyvagal theory, deep ecology, eco-psychology, creative play, imagination and deep soul listening into journeys to awaken the inner creator, healer, and wise self.
She lives at Abundance Community Farm, a land-based project dedicated to decolonizing minds, bodies, and hearts on the unceded ancestral lands stolen from the Stó:lō People that settlers named Agassiz (British Columbia).

What is an Expressive Arts and Ecstatic Dance Evening?
This Expressive Arts and Ecstatic Dance Evening is a gentle, guided experience that weaves together conscious movement and expressive arts as pathways for self-expression and inner exploration. Rather than following choreography or artistic rules, participants are invited to move, create, and express freely, allowing both movement and creative processes to emerge organically.
Through music, movement, and simple expressive art invitations, this practice supports authentic self-expression and embodied awareness. It offers a supportive space to slow down, release stress, and reconnect with the wisdom of the body, emotions, and imagination. No prior dance or art experience is needed — curiosity and openness are enough.
