These series of classes will provide you with techniques and skills to become a confident painter! With support and guidance, Cheri will share tips, approaches, and strategies in a supportive environment for you to develop your voice in watercolor.
Sessions 1 & 2 acquaint you with individual pigments and explores color theory, two key components to becoming an accomplished painter. There are no prerequisites for taking these classes. Choose Session 1 or Session 2 or take both. When taken together you will accomplish several color studies for reference, complete one abstract painting, and three landscapes.
In Session 1, explore pigment properties in the "essential palette," discover how each behaves alone, and how each interacts with other essential pigments to produce a multitude of effects.
In Session 2, take a deep dive into color theory to create captivating paintings with dazzling color.
Sessions 3 & 4 examine techniques and strategies for creating compelling compositions. (Summer dates; stay tuned for my details.)
Sessions 5 & 6 expand your voice and style through innovation. (Autumn dates and details TBA)
