About this Event
This fall, the USC Fisher Museum of Art hosts Louise Bourgeois: What is the Shape of This Problem?, an extensive collection of prints and textiles by the influential French-American artist best known for her large-scale installations and sculptures. In conjunction with the exhibit, curator and Ph.D. candidate in USC’s Department of Art History Elissa Watters will host a conversation with Shaye Remba, director of the fine art print shop Mixografia, and Judith Solodkin, founder of the print shop and gallery SOLO Impression. The panel will give a rare, firsthand glimpse into Bourgeois’s often-overlooked printmaking; expand upon her artistic exploration of trauma, memories, and healing; and discuss her body of work and legacy.
The panel will be followed by a reception and viewing of the exhibition.
