From venturing inside one of the city's most beautiful synagogues to noshing at some classic Jewish eateries along the way, it's time to hit the streets and explore one of New York City's most historic neighborhoods.
Join New York Adventure Club for a behind-the-scenes trip through the Lower East Side, which will uncover a remarkable period of immigration in New York City history through stops at many of the neighborhood's oldest attractions and culinary institutions.
Led by licensed tour guide and native New Yorker Richard Soden — who's also a resident of the Lower East Side — this unique experience will include:
-A custom-made NY Adventure Club route to showcase the best Lower East Side marvels, both inside and out
- The story of the neighborhood throughout the 19th , 20th, and 21th centuries
-A special trip inside the historic Eldridge Street Synagogue — one of the city's most stunning houses of worship
- T he history of Jewish immigration in the area , from what tenement life was like to where immigrants shopped, banked, and obtained the news
-The highs and lows that the local Jewish community has endured over the past several generations
-A stop at where famous actors, advocates, and politicians spent time on the Lower East Side, as well as
-A bite at several off-the-beaten-path Lower East Side eateries to nosh on kosher pickles and rugelach

*Please bring a water bottle and comfortable pair of shoes as we’ll be doing a lot of walking!
**Our experience will conclude at Essex Market on the corner of Delancey and Essex Streets
