EXPLORING THE ANXIOUS & ADDICTIVE MIND THROUGH BREATHWORK & YOGA This workshop is for anyone who experiences anxiety, overwhelm or addiction and wants to create change .
About this Event

The world we live in is overwhelming. No wonder we find ways to soothe, numb, escape, and manage our feelings. It’s a perfectly normal response. But how can we empower ourselves to navigate the world without reaching out but by reaching in. When we become reliant on outside sources, substances, or behaviours, our internal resources deplete and we lose ourselves, our power, and often our purpose.

Embodied practices, breathwork, and yoga can help us become aware of our somatic and emotional patterns and behaviours. They can provide tools to help us regulate when we need to, and build our capacity to feel what needs to be felt in any given moment. One of the simplest ways to centre and ground ourselves is to connect to our breath and move our bodies, this can alter how we feel and help us to access different states of being.

This workshop is for anyone who experiences anxiety, overwhelm or addiction and wants to change their relationship with drinking, drugs, smoking, eating, shopping, social media, sex… the list goes on. Whether you are already in recovery or want to begin a process of change, you are welcome in this space.

Breath is a powerful tool we can use to release tension in the body, and enter a deep state of calm and presence. When we combine breath and posture it allows us to quiet our minds and experiencing ourselves completely as we are. Some breaths will be energetic, some incredibly soft and gentle, both will allow us to access stillness.

This session will finish with a crystal bowl sound bath .

The space will stay open at the end, with a light snack to share this is optional,

I wanted to create these sessions for people wanting some help with unhelpful behaviours , these tools and learning how and why they help us were fundamentally life changing for me.
