About this Event
This practical course explores how Peace Education can be integrated into teaching and learning by examining key concepts such as positive peace, conflict resolution, nonviolence, peacekeeping, peacemaking, and peacebuilding. We will explore subject specific links to equip practitioners to integrate peace education across various curricular areas.
Participants will engage with effective strategies to build a culture of peace within the classroom, empowering children and young people to become active peace-builders in their schools and communities. Additionally, we will discuss how peace education supports a rights-based agenda, reinforcing the importance of equity and inclusion in education.
The course will run over two sessions and the second session will take place on Wednesday 19th February 2025 at 4pm-5.30pm.
The event will take place on Microsoft Teams and the link will be emailed out a few days before the event.
