About this Event

Exploring Futurisms - Mini Symposium

Organised by Edinburgh Napier university and The University of Glasgow.

Dr Ita Jansen (Edinburgh Napier University) and Dr Anna McFarlane (University of Glasgow) invite you to join them for a Futurisms Symposium at the Royal Society of Edinburgh. We are bringing together researchers interested in some of the key issues facing us today: the climate crisis, the rise of artificial intelligence, and the future of reproduction. Our goal is to foster future interdisciplinary collaboration and to build a network of academics in Scotland with an interest in ideas of the future, and how these have a bearing on our present behaviour.

The event will be held at The Royal Society of Edinburgh, from 9:00 to 13:00

Coffee, Tea and Pastries will be served.
