Exploring Faith & Doubt with Emily Dickinson
A Conversation with Author Kristin LeMay

Saturday, February 28th, 4:00 PM
Trinity Church, Menlo Park

Grappling with questions of meaning, faith, or doubt? You're in good company.

Join us for an intimate conversation with Kristin LeMay, author of I Told My Soul to Sing: Finding God with Emily Dickinson, as we explore the life and work of America's most famous poet—and her patron saint of skepticism.

Emily Dickinson didn't reject faith. She rejected easy answers. With playful wit, prayerful irreverence, and cutting insight into what it means to be human, she moved through a life full of questions where answers weren't always clear, easy, or obvious. She wrestled with God honestly, doubtfully, sometimes joyfully—and her poetry still speaks to anyone navigating the messy terrain between belief and unbelief.

LeMay honors this unlikely spiritual guide with whip-smart analysis of Dickinson's poetry while accessing her own journey of faith, doubt, and discovery. Together, we'll explore how a 19th-century recluse became an unexpected companion for 21st-century seekers.
