About this Event
Join Sam Fields for a two-session tapestry weaving workshop where participants will learn to create a small woven image of their choice using a frame loom. Over the course of two Sundays (April 19th and 26th), you’ll plan your cartoon (weaving design), explore color and composition, and learn foundational tapestry techniques such as weaving shapes, building forms, and creating expressive texture.
All frame looms will be provided, along with guidance on how to build your own at home. You’ll leave with a completed tapestry—or one well underway—and the confidence to continue weaving independently. No experience is required; this workshop is designed for absolute beginners as well as those looking to deepen their weaving practice in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Notice: An Eventbrite ticket only is not a valid registration. This is a reservation. To buy a ticket for admision go to https://clothcollaborative.space/classes-and-workshops/exploring-color-and-texture and purchase there.
