Join us for an unforgettable culinary journey through the world of avian delicacies, featuring exceptional bird meats from Formaggio Kitchen's remarkable selection. This dinner class will take you beyond the everyday to explore the extraordinary range of possibilities when it comes to cooking with birds—each course thoughtfully paired with wines that elevate the unique character of our featured fowl.
Depending on availability and the season's best offerings, you might experience succulent duck with its rich, savory depth, or heritage chicken that proves this everyday bird can be extraordinary when sourced with care. We could venture into more adventurous territory with delicate quail, whose sweet, tender meat has graced tables from ancient Rome to modern France.
Throughout the evening, you'll learn preparation techniques, discover ideal cooking methods that honor each bird's unique characteristics, and master accompaniments that complement their individual flavors. We will guide you through carefully selected wine pairings, explaining how to match wines with different birds—from lighter-bodied options for delicate meat to robust reds that stand up to richer, gamier flavors.
Whether you're an adventurous home cook or a curious food lover, this class will expand your palate and leave you inspired to cook with confidence and creativity.
To fully participate in the class:
1. Reserve your ticket through Eventbrite! Purchase one ticket for each member of your party. The ticket price includes admission for one as well as dinner fare and drinks and accompaniments for one.
2. Show up on the day of class! Class will begin at 7:30pm. This is a seated event in our retail learning setting. The duration of the class is about an hour and a half. After class, there will be time to shop our expansive product selection (at a 10% discount!).
3. This event is for 21+. Our staff ill check IDs at the door.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please reach out to [email protected] when you make your reservation if you or a member of your party has any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Our classroom coordinator will help you to determine if the class can be modified to accomodate your needs. The health and safety of our guests is a priority for us.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend a class, please let us know at least 72 hours before the class is scheduled to take place and we will give you a full refund or a credit for a future class. If you don't let us know in advance of the class, you are not entitled to any refund or credit.
