A free workshop for members of the Harrogate Children & Young People's Network.
If your organisation is recruiting young volunteers or planning to involve young people for the first time, or you’re looking for new ideas to involve more young volunteers, this FREE workshop is for you!
We will explore best practice for welcoming young people into your organisation; safeguarding & policies; benefits of recruiting young people and creating safe and meaningful opportunities for them.
During the workshop, we will also introduce the Power of 10, a awards and rewards scheme which rewards young people for their volunteering hours and provides them with tangible evidence to use for employability etc.
There are 20 places available on a first come first served basis, initially limited to one person from each organisation please.
The workshop will be facilitated by Jo Thackwray, HADCA Power of 10 Co-ordinator, and Lucy Downes, CEO of Ripon YMCA.
