About this Event
EXPLORE YOUR VOICE! is a 10-week, 15 hours, holistic voice training programme led by Sibel Tüzün, a singer and songwriter who has been working with voice, breath and body for over 30 years, and is also a certified yoga and somatic practices teacher.
Based in London, the programme supports vocal confidence, clarity and long-term vocal wellbeing for both speaking and singing voices. It brings together breath, body alignment and vocal exploration to help you reconnect with the full potential of your voice.
This work is not about fixing the voice, but about understanding how your voice works, where it sits in the body, and how it can sound freer, clearer and more expressive.
Core Focus
Breath, Alignment & Vocal Exploration
EXPLORE YOUR VOICE! works with the relationship between breath, posture, alignment and vocal tone.
Breath is approached as a foundation, not a goal in itself. From there, the work expands into:
- body alignment and grounding
- where the voice naturally resonates
- how tone and colour change with alignment
- how effort drops away when the voice is supported by the body
Rather than focusing on performance alone, the programme supports how you speak, express yourself and use your voice in everyday life — professionally, creatively and personally.
“I didn’t realise how much my voice could change just by adjusting how I stood and breathed. Everything began to feel easier and more connected.”
— Previous participant
The Science Behind the Work
The work is informed by vocal physiology and research on breathing, coordination and somatic awareness.
A key element is natural abdominal breath, which supports efficient vocal function and allows the voice to settle into the body rather than being pushed or held. Research in vocal pedagogy shows that postural alignment and breath coordination directly influence vocal fold efficiency and resonance.
“Vocal efficiency depends on the coordination of the respiratory system and laryngeal function. Natural abdominal breathing patterns support resonance by reducing unnecessary pressure.”
