Experience Washington DC beyond guidebooks! Visit the most stunning landmarks and secret spots with the freedom to explore at your own pace.
About this Event

Wander the US capital not just as a tourist, but as an adventurer turning a regular walk into a memory you鈥檒l share for years.

Whether you're exploring alone, with a partner, or with friends, this complete self-guided tour offers the ultimate freedom of discovery: no rushing after a guide, no groups of strangers, and no strict schedules. You can stop for photos whenever you want, grab a coffee when you feel like it, and discover the soul of the city through the pace and the eyes of a local.

You'll follow the story of a rising diplomat on a mission to understand the pillars of the United States government. From the towering dome of the Capitol to the hidden oases designed for weary travelers, every step is a lesson in power and history.

Ready to mix up sightseeing with a democracy lesson?

WHAT YOU'LL VISIT?
The route of 12 locations was carefully hand-picked by us to show you the very best of Washington DC's East End. It includes:
  • The Pillars of Power: Explore the majestic exteriors of the U.S. Capitol Building (the legislative heart) and the Supreme Court (the judicial soul).
  • The Library of Congress: Quench your thirst for knowledge outside the Thomas Jefferson Building, the largest library in the world and a masterpiece of Beaux-Arts architecture.
  • The Summerhouse: Escape the metropolitan noise and find shelter in this hidden red-brick grotto, a secret oasis built in the 1880s for travelers to rest and drink water.
  • Memorials of Giants: Pay your respects at the statues and memorials of high-profile Washingtonians who shaped the city and the country.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This tour is fully self-guided with the use of the app on your phone. You'll visit a set of locations in the city and each of them will represent a new chapter in your journey.

When you arrive at a location, you'll read the story and search the world around you (statues, plaques, buildings) for the answer to a challenge. Solving the challenge unlocks the next part of the story and a fun "Fact Card" about the landmark in that area. The difficulty level is easy and you can always ask for a hint or skip a challenge if you get stuck.

Here's how to start:

  1. Buy your ticket and book any date. The hour is not relevant as you can do this activity whenever you want. It's available 24/7.
  2. Download the app (iOS or Android) and create an account using the same email used for the purchase.
  3. Go to your Profile inside the app and find your tour unlocked and ready to start!
