Seeing in Light & Dark

This foundational workshop introduces artists to the painting process from initial vision to finished work, with a strong focus on value—one of the most important elements of successful painting. Participants will learn how to interpret reference photos through value and translate what they see into effective value sketches.

Materials Required (please bring):

• 3–6 reference photos of your preferred subject
• Sketchbook
• Pencils
• Ruler
