Spend a morning afloat with your friends and family on our narrowboat, the Martin Sinclair.
We are offering these trips as an alternative to hiring the boat exclusively and to make it more accessible to the local community. If you are interested in having the boat to yourself, please see our other trip options, or contact us for more details ([email protected]).
Each trip is led by a qualified and experienced skipper and crew. Passengers are welcome to have a go steering the boat, help with operating locks or sit back, relax and enjoy the ride as the world glides gently past.
Numbers
The maximum number of people on board is 12 and they can be of any age (under 18's must be accompanied by an adult and may need to stay inside the cabin if they are too small to fit into a buoyancy aid).
Layout
The boat has a cabin with benches and small foredeck where you can stand outside. The aft deck is large enough for the skipper, crew and a few passengers to gather and take a turn on the tiller.
Accessibility
Please note that the boat is not wheelchair accessible and there are steps to get onto and into the boat. The boat wobbles gently while underway and when people move around on board. We advise anyone with special accessibility requirements to come and have a look at the boat before making a booking to make sure that it is suitable for their needs.
Facilities
The boat has a chemical toilet on board.
PLEASE NOTE!!!!
Because of the confined conditions on the boat, we can not let nuts to be consumed during the journey due to other participants possible nut allergies. Furthermore as our community trips are family oriented, no alcohol is permitted on board during public excursions.
