Join museum staff on January 1, 2025, for an urban exploration around Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, the Capitol Complex and Jefferson City Parks’ Deborah Cooper Park on Adrian’s Island. Staff will provide a tour as we take in the views of the Missouri River and the historical buildings. This hike will cover about 1.5 miles on sidewalks with some slight to moderate inclines including the Bicentennial Bridge. The weather may be windy and chilly. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate shoes, dress warmly, and bring water. Museum staff will be using a sound system that works with you favorite old-school headphones with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack to help you hear all the great info! (The museum will have some headphones available as well on a first come basis).
Meet your guide at the Lohman Building at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, 100 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101
Convenient parking is located in the lot next to the Lohman Building.

What to wear: warm clothes, supportive shoes
Things to bring (e.g., water, snacks) – warm clothes, comfy shoes for hard surfaces, water, standard 3.5 mm headphones with standard jack
