Over the weekend of 11 and 12 of April we will be staging a very special series of exploration events to celebrate the recent reopening of Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui. The panel topic for our Sunday 12 April 2pm panel is: 'Oceans of the Mind'.
This event will be held in the beautiful Ngā Pou Ruahine space on the second floor. This is a free event and all are welcome. We expect this event to be popular and seating is limited, so please arrive early to ensure a seat.
Meet our esteemed panellists...

Grant Nalder:
Grant Nadler is our beloved Wellington Harbourmaster. He has devoted most of his working life to the sea and has a treasure trove of fabulous nautical true-life tales to draw on.
Dr Nicole Miller:
A keen explorer of the underwater world, Nicole uses citizen science, visual storytelling, and art to connect people of all ages with their local marine environment. As the founder of Explore Your Coast (https://exploreyourcoast.co.nz/), she is passionate about bringing the underwater world to shore - sparking curiosity, a deeper sense of connection and care, and action to protect and restore marine ecosystems and biodiversity across New Zealand.
The short documentary 'Seaweed, A Love Story', featuring Nicole’s work, is now screening at venues across New Zealand.
Una Cruickshank:
Una Cruickshank was born in Tamaki Mākaurau Auckland and now lives in Pōneke Wellington. She has an MA in Creative Writing from the International Institute of Modern Letters at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. Her first book, 'The Chthonic Cycle', won the E.H.
