For Beginners
Learn the foundations of weaving:
• Choosing colors and textures
• Warping the loom
• Creating a consistent weave
• Managing weft color changes
• Keeping even selvedges
• Removing and finishing your fabric
You’ll quickly discover there’s nothing “plain” about plain weave.
For Novice Weavers
Take your skills further with Log Cabin weaving, a classic pattern created by alternating two colors in the warp and weft.
You’ll learn:
• Proper warping sequence
• Using two shuttles in the weft
• Keeping clean, tidy selvedges
(Prior experience required: warping a rigid heddle loom and weaving plain weave.)
Class Fee: $75 (6 hours)
Materials:
• Bring your own yarn
• Purchase from Eagles Aerie
• Cotton yarn kit available for $20
