Herron-Downs is the newest Park District property with lots to discover! Join Naturalist Ted for an hour of adventure as we explore more of this fascinating wetland and riparian area. With the chance of some awesome guided off-trail hiking! Expect to hike 1-2 miles of moderate terrain with possibly light bushwhacking.
*Please note that dogs are not allowed at Herron-Downs, as a sensitive restoration of the fen is currently in progress. Dress for cold/inclement weather. Waterproof shoes are highly recommended. Bring water and a snack. Expect Adventure!
