A Three-Day Immersive Creative Experience for Learning, Growing & Having Fun

Step away from the noise of everyday life and immerse yourself in three inspiring days of creativity, self-expression, relaxation, and hands-on making at the Explore, Create & Reset Retreat.

Hosted at Tulsa Stained Glass and developed from the nationally available book Explore Your World by Richard Bohm, this one-of-a-kind workshop retreat blends creative exploration with meaningful personal growth in a playful, welcoming environment.

Unlike traditional art workshops that focus only on technical skills or finished products, this retreat is intentionally designed to help participants reconnect with curiosity, imagination, and the joy of creating. Through the EMOSY creative process—Explore, Sketch, Refine, Design, and Share—participants learn how to transform thoughts, memories, and emotions into visual expression using color, shape, symbolism, and storytelling.

This immersive experience welcomes beginners, crafters, artists, and creative explorers of all backgrounds. No artistic experience is necessary. The only requirements are curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore.

Because of Tulsa’s central location in the United States, the retreat is especially convenient for participants traveling from anywhere in the country. Located along historic Route 66 in Oklahoma’s Green Country and near the nationally recognized Gathering Place, the retreat offers visitors an opportunity to combine creativity with relaxation, exploration, and connection.

Throughout the three-day experience, participants will enjoy a wide variety of fun, hands-on creative activities, which may include:

  • Making small stained glass EMOSY suncatchers
  • Creating mosaics using authentic stained glass pieces
  • Designing personalized collages
  • EMOSY meditative and neurographic art exercises
  • Drawing and painting activities
  • Larger stained glass projects such as garden stakes
  • Creative photography exploration
  • Junk Art Sculpture creation
  • Collaborative group projects
  • Additional surprise creative experiences to be announced

The retreat atmosphere is intentionally playful, supportive, and non-competitive. Participants are encouraged to experiment freely, loosen perfectionism, and trust their imagination. The focus is not simply on making beautiful objects—it is on learning how creativity can reduce stress, encourage mindfulness, strengthen confidence, and help people express what words cannot.

In addition to guided instruction and demonstrations, participants will enjoy open studio time, collaborative activities, group discussion, and opportunities to connect with like-minded creative individuals. Many attendees discover that the retreat becomes more than a workshop—it becomes a meaningful reset for the mind and spirit.

Suggested nearby hotels, RV accommodations, restaurants, and local attractions are available for out-of-town guests. Tulsa’s vibrant arts culture, parks, and entertainment districts provide plenty of opportunities for relaxation and exploration outside of workshop hours.

Whether you are looking to recharge creatively, overcome artistic blocks, explore stained glass for the first time, or simply experience a different kind of getaway, the Explore, Create & Reset Retreat offers a rare opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your imagination, and create meaningful work in an uplifting creative community.

Includes all materials, a copy of the book Explore How You Feel and continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch breaks will be provided - bring a sack lunch or explore local options.
