Exploration Of Carondelet Park Trail With BWorks | 6 p.m. Monday, July 8

Earn-A-Bike and Learn-To-Ride alumni of all ages (parents/guardians welcome too!) are invited to join St. Louis BWorks staff and volunteers for an evening of singletrack riding, fun and refreshment in Carondelet Park. We'll meet with our bikes and helmets at 6 p.m. Monday, July 8, in the north -central area of the park (near the intersection of Holly Hills Boulevard and Livingston Drive) where the newly created mountain-biking loop exists.

It's a short loops, and a challenging one in certain spots. The group will walk the trail once first before biking it, so that there are no surprises. Some participants may choose to focus on the paved Carondelet Park paths (under adult supervision as well) following the walking tour of the new singletrack loop.

NOTE: This is an off-road trail designed for mountain bikes. Most of the bikes that our Earn-A-Bike students choose to take home to keep are well suited to such trails, but not all. Please reach out well in advance of the event to [email protected] with a picture of your child's bike if you are not sure about tire suitability for this environment.

The evening will wrap up by 8 p.m. at the same location within Carondelet Park. Register at this link to participate, and be prepared to sign a short release for each rider upon arrival to the meeting location. (Also, each participant should be sure to bring water!)

P.S. Does your child's bicycle need some TLC leading up to the alumni ride? Stop by BWorks (2414 Menard Street in Soulard) in the days leading up to the ride (between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday). If you stop by at least a week prior to the alumni ride with the bike, our staff and volunteers will be happy to take a look at the bike and help ensure it's trail ready!
