About this Event
This collaborative session will create the space to work collectively across education, health and care - drawing on the expertise of schools, trusts, therapy services, inclusion teams and wider partners - to define what an effective, sustainable Experts at Hand model looks like for Wigan children and young people.
Together, we will:
- Build a shared understanding of needs, strengths and gaps using current data and insight
- Explore how we can align and maximise existing resources across services
- Co-design a model that strengthens early support, inclusion and mainstream capacity
- Establish clear priorities, governance and next steps for delivery
Experts at Hand is a key part of national SEND reform, aiming to ensure children and young people can access timely specialist advice and support without needing statutory intervention, by strengthening support in everyday settings.
This workshop is an opportunity to influence real system change, working alongside colleagues who share a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
If you want to help shape a more joined-up, proactive and impactful SEND system, we would welcome your contribution.
