About this Event
Interference Series presents multi-media artists Steve Jansen and Jimmy Peggie. Originally hailing from Arizona, Jansen is a sound maker whose experimental music output includes solo and band performances on saxophone, prepared guitar, natural and manufactured objects, and cassette tape across a swath of genres, ranging from free jazz and electro-acoustic improvisation to harsh noise and primitive techno. The work of Phoenix-based Scottish artist Jimmy Peggie is focused on natural and urban phenomena with an appreciation that all things are in a state of flux--ever changing, imperfect and incomplete--using this to help identify a sense of our place within the transient nature of all things.
