About this Event
About Bay Street: Early Bay St. was a far cry from what we know today, and not merely because it lacked the stature of buildings it now boasts. It was one of the streets that connected Lot St. (now Queen St.) to the harbour. Today, Bay Street holds paramount importance in the Canadian financial landscape. It is home to five of Canada’s major banks: the Bank of Montreal, Scotiabank, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD Bank), and the Royal Bank. The concentration of these financial powerhouses underscores Bay Street’s pivotal role as the epicenter of Canada’s financial activities.
Join us for a FREE, public walking tour that will be a good experience for anyone: whether you’re 8 or 80 years old, and whether you’re a curious local, solo traveler, backpacker, newcomer, or part of a group of friends.
