Experience the Harley-Davidson Museum in motion during Exhibits in Action!, a drop-in, interactive program that brings the galleries to life.
This session spotlights internationally recognized, award-winning custom motorcycle builder J. Shia, owner of Madhouse Motors in Boston. Known for blending mechanical engineering, art, heritage, and storytelling, J. Shia’s unconventional approach to motorcycle design challenges tradition while honoring it.
Guests will also see the BUILD Moto Columbus High School team on site, showcasing their 2025 winning bike. BUILD Moto is a nonprofit program that pairs students with mentors to design and fabricate race-ready motorcycles while developing technical and life skills along the way.
Throughout the day, explore hands-on, station-based activities including:
• An up-close look at J. Shia’s 1972 Sprint Custom
• The BUILD Moto 2025 winning bike
• An interactive motorcycle components table
• A custom motorcycle–themed coloring station
• An iSpy activity featuring J. Shia’s bike
Drop in anytime between 10 AM and 4 PM and experience creativity, craftsmanship, and customization in action.
