We are delighted to join in this popular series pairing great books with exhibits currently on display at the Shelburne museum. The first event this season is a tour of the Museum’s exhibit, On Point, led by Public Programs Educator, Kat Redniss. On Point, at the Dana Spencer Textiles Gallery, features schoolgirl artworks from the Garthwaite Family Collection. Expect extraordinary sewing boxes, theorem paintings, silk-on-silk embroideries and more! We all think this will pair well with Karen Russell’s 2006 collection of stories, "St. Lucy’s Home for Girl’s Raised By Wolves," up for discussion at the Pierson Library, on May 26. And mark your calendars for June 4th where Kat will lead the Exhibitionist's on a creative response right here at the Charlotte Library. Copies available at the front desk. For this tour, meet at the side gate of the Shelburne Museum, directly to the right of the entrance.
